What is the purpose of the sealing ring in pressure cookers?

The Fissler safety system with patented technology consists of several components. The sealing ring ensures that the lid closes securely and that pressure can build up inside the pot. The secure lid consists of

the Fissler Kochkrone with traffic light function for convenient pressure regulation,
the Euromatic cooking valve
the ergonomic Fissler safety handle with locking indicator
and the special sealing ring.

These attachments ensure that the potsafe and airtightThe lid is sealed. This allows pressure to build up safely inside the pot, enabling faster and more energy-efficient cooking. This method of preparation is particularly gentle and preserves vitamins.
