Although the pressure cooker is already somewhat old, the sealing ring is still available to buy, at least online. Unfortunately, it wasn't available in brick-and-mortar stores. So it has to be ordered, and shipping costs are added on top, of course. The ring itself is already fairly expensive. Ordering went well. Confirmation and shipping emails. Payment possible via PayPal. Delivery was very prompt. The ring fits, all good.

As soon as you close the pot cold…
As soon as you close the pot while it is cold and only then bring it to the boil, the lid closes again with the new sealing ring. The lid sits properly only thanks to the sealing ring.
