With pressure cooking, the thiamine content even increased to up to 105 percent, while legumes conventionally cooked in water contained only 36 percent.*

Protect what protects you: vitamins.

The Vitavit® Premium encloses ingredients like a vault. When pressure cooking quickly, vitamins, nutrients, and flavors are almost completely preserved. A difference you can not only taste, but also see.

This is how a pressure cooker works

A pressure cooker, also known as a steam pressure cooker, differs from a conventional cooking pot by cooking under pressure. The secret lies in the lid.

Safe cooking with the pressure cooker

Modern pressure cookers from Fissler feature various safety mechanisms that work automatically. For example, pressure can only build up if the pot is properly closed - indicated by a visual and audible locking indicator on the handle. This activates the safety systems that, for example, automatically limit the pressure in the pot or ensure that the pot can only be opened when there is no excess pressure inside.

For safe use, the following always applies:

  • The pressure cooker only builds up pressure when it is properly closed
  • The pressure is automatically limited; excessive pressure is virtually ruled out by the multi-stage safety concept
  • The pressure cooker can only be opened when it is completely depressurized
  • The valves are designed to protect against splattering food escaping
  • The safety-relevant elements work independently of one another and activate themselves automatically one after another in an emergency

* Based on cooking tests comparing cooking in a Fissler pressure cooker with cooking in a conventional pot. Results vary depending on the food, quantity, type of stove, and preparation method.
