Guide to swivel pans

How does sautéing work?

Sautéing – how to briefly fry the ingredients

Sautéing is the process of quickly searing and tossing food in a little fat. Because the ingredients are moved around in the pan and only briefly come into contact with high heat, they don't burn. This allows you to sear meat and vegetables and give them a beautiful sheen.

Sautéing works best if you cut the food into small pieces. When all the ingredients are roughly the same size, they cook particularly evenly.

To ensure everything stays in the pan during this process, it should have a suitable shape and a comfortable handle. Therefore, tilting pans are the ideal choice for this cooking technique.
