Ingredients
| 250 g | cherry tomatoes |
| 1 | shallot |
| 1 | clove garlic |
| 2 tbsp. | olive oil |
| 1 tbsp. | brown sugar |
| 1 tsp. | honey |
| 1 tbsp. | balsamic vinegar |
| 1 tsp. | smoked paprika powder |
| 1.5 tsp. | chilli flakes |
Instructions
Step 1 of 4:
Dice the onion and sauté it with the olive oil in a Frying Pan or a small saucepan until translucent. Finely chop the garlic and briefly fry it as well.
Step 2 of 4:
Halve the tomatoes and add them to the Frying Pan. Add the brown sugar and honey, then let everything reduce slowly over medium heat. It’s fine if the tomatoes break down slightly as they cook.
Step 3 of 4:
Stir in the balsamic vinegar, smoked paprika, and chili. Let everything simmer for another 10–15 minutes until it reaches a thick, jam-like consistency.
Step 4 of 4:
Season with salt, pepper, and optionally a little cumin or thyme. Let cool slightly before Serve.
