Indonesian stir-fry with mie goreng noodles and shrimp
Traditional Indonesian street food is world-renowned, and its dishes are now beloved far beyond the country's borders. The intensely flavorful stir-fries evoke memories of holidays and summers—but with our recipe, you no longer need to travel all the way to Indonesia.
Roasting garlic and chili brings out the full flavor of the shrimp, creating a perfect harmonize with the spicy stir-fried noodles. The dish is finished with an aromatic marinade of soy sauce and sesame oil.

Ingredients

| 100 g | Soy sprouts |

| 1 | Lime |
| 1 | Pepperoni |

Instructions
Step 1 of 9:
Bring water for the noodles to a boil. Peel the carrot, halve it lengthwise and crosswise, and cut into fine strips. Halve the bell pepper, remove the stem and seeds, and cut into fine strips. Wash the lime hot, rub off the zest, and halve it. Squeeze one half, cut the remaining half into two wedges.
Step 2 of 9:
Trim the spring onion of root and top green, cut the spring onion white into fine rings, cut the spring onion green into thin diagonal strips. Add the noodles along with salt to the boiling water, remove the pot from the heat, and let steep covered for 4 minutes.
Step 3 of 9:
Meanwhile, pluck the coriander leaves from the stems. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, lime zest, salt, sugar, and 3 or 6 tbsp water to make a marinade. Rinse and pat dry the shrimp.
Step 4 of 9:
Drain the noodles at the end of the cooking time, rinse thoroughly with cold water, and toss with a little oil. Crumble the chili finely. Peel and finely chop the garlic.
Step 5 of 9:
Heat oil strongly in a large pan and fry the noodles, carrot, bell pepper, and half of the chili for 5 minutes at high temperature until crispy. Season with salt.
Step 6 of 9:
Meanwhile, heat oil strongly in another pan and fry the shrimp for 2 minutes at high temperature, turning on all sides. Season with the remaining dried chili and salt. Then add half of the garlic and fry for 1/2 minute.
Step 7 of 9:
Add the spring onion white and the remaining garlic to the noodles and continue to fry for 1 minute.
Step 8 of 9:
Remove the pan with the noodles from the heat and add the soy marinade, bean sprouts, sesame seeds, and shrimp, and mix well.
Step 9 of 9:
Place the fried shrimp in a deep plate and garnish with spring onion greens, coriander, and lime wedges.
