Ingredients
| 500 g | Chicken breast |
| 1 | red bell pepper |
| 250 g | Cream or cream substitute |
| 4 tbsp | Ajvar |
| 1 tbsp | tomato paste |
| 2 tsp | pickled green peppercorns (optional) |
| Some oil for frying | |
| Salt, pepper, sweet paprika |
Instructions
Step 1 of 6:
Cut chicken into large pieces and sear on both sides in a little oil for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and sweet paprika, then remove from the pan.
Step 2 of 6:
Cut bell peppers into thin strips and sauté in the same pan for 5 minutes until slightly softened.
Step 3 of 6:
Add tomato paste, ajvar, and peppercorns, then deglaze with cream.
Step 4 of 6:
Return the chicken to the pan and simmer gently with a lid over low heat for about 10 minutes.
Step 5 of 6:
If the sauce is a bit too thick, you can certainly thin it with 50-100 ml of vegetable broth.
Step 6 of 6:
Season again with spices at the end. Rice or potatoes are good side dishes.
