Today’s rice pudding is a descendant of a dish that dates back to the time of Romans. With just a few ingredients, and Fissler vitavit pressure cooker, this timeless recipe will be ready in no time at all.
You need: Pressure Cooker | Cooking Spoon
Step 1:
First mix milk with salt, sugar, vanilla sugar, butter and lemon zest in pressure cooker and bring to boil.||
Step 2:
Add rice, stirring well to make sure nothing sticks to the bottom and rice is evenly distributed.||
Step 3:
Close lid per instruction manual and set cooking display with green traffic-light function to 1.||
Step 4:
Bring pot at maximum heat. When first ring appears, reduce temperature to low. Cook for 10 minutes. Once cook time is complete, leave cooker unopened for 3-4 minutes.||
Step 5:
Then, depressurize and open cooker per the instruction manual.||
Step 6:
Stir rice pudding. Cool before serving.||
Step 7:
For apple compote: Peel apples and cut in small cubes. In a small pan, caramelize 3 tbsp. sugar. Add apples, lemon juice, cinnamon and vanilla seeds and pod, simmer on low heat. Pour water over compote, stir several times and gently simmer for 15 minutes.||
Step 8:
After 15 minutes, remove pot from stove and cover and let rest for 3 to 5 minutes.||
