Filled Potato Waffles

You need: Knife | Cutting Board | Peeler | Frying Pan | Waffle Iron
Step 1:
Peel the potatoes, cube and cook for approx. 15 minutes in salted boiling water. While the potatoes are boiling, fry the bacon in a pan (without oil) until crispy. Wash the chives, shake dry and chop.||
Step 2:
Drain the potatoes and mash. Add the flour, baking powder, salt, milk and egg and combine. Mix the chives into the dough.||
Step 3:
Grease the waffle iron with butter. First fill the waffle iron with 2 tbsp batter, then layer with cheese and bacon and top with 1 tbsp dough. Bake util cooked through (for a few minutes depending on the waffle iron).||
Tip:
If preferred, it can be served with a warm cheese dip.||
